Choose a date, its order, and a separator. The converter checks the calendar date and writes each part separately, so you can review the result before using it in a design.

What to look for

Use these checks while comparing the example and your own text. Your artist can refine the final design for skin and placement.

Keep the original date beside the numerals

The same numeral parts can describe different dates when the day and month are reversed. Confirm the order with another person.

Use separators

Dots, spaces, or slashes make each component easier to verify than one uninterrupted run of Roman letters.

Common questions

Why does the converter reject some dates?

It checks actual calendar dates and supports years from 1 through 3999. Roman numerals do not have a standard zero symbol.

Is day-first or month-first correct?

Choose the order that matches the date you intend to record, then make it explicit before approving a stencil.
